Understand the concept and importance of student wellbeing in school education. 2. Recognise the physical, emotional, social, psychological and academic dimensions of student wellbeing. 3. Understand the principles of a whole-school approach to promoting student wellbeing. 4. Identify factors within the school environment that influence students’ safety, belonging, motivation and engagement. 5. Develop supportive, inclusive and positive classroom practices that promote wellbeing. 6. Strengthen teachers’ skills in communication, empathy, active listening and relationship building. 7. Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive school culture through collaborative participation. 8. Identify appropriate ways to support students facing academic, social or emotional difficulties and connect them with suitable support systems. 9. Integrate wellbeing activities into teaching-learning, co-curricular activities and school routines. 10. Develop strategies for monitoring and continuously improving student wellbeing at the school level. Learning Outcomes After completing the PDP, participants will be able to: • Explain the meaning and key dimensions of student wellbeing. • Describe the importance of a whole-school approach to student wellbeing. • Identify classroom and school practices that support students’ emotional, social and physical wellbeing. • Demonstrate empathetic communication and active listening skills. • Create a positive, inclusive and psychologically safe classroom environment. • Plan activities that encourage belonging, cooperation, resilience and healthy relationships. • Recognise signs that a student may need additional support and follow appropriate school support procedures. • Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, families and other stakeholders to promote wellbeing. • Integrate wellbeing practices into everyday teaching and school activities. • Reflect on existing school practices and suggest improvements for a more supportive learning environment.
